We have a wealth of knowledge and connections, with access to the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), the Accounting Standards Board (AcSB), and the Canadian Sustainability Standards Board; so, can give our two cents on the "preparers" perspective. But the best part is that we are always eager to share our expertise with our members, and we know how to make everyone feel like an important part of the team.
Fractional CFO

The Fractional CFO Committee is a dedicated platform designed to support, educate, and empower Fractional CFOs throughout their unique professional journeys. Our mission is to create a dynamic network where Fractional CFOs can connect with peers, exchange expertise, and drive innovation within their field. By bridging the gap between high-level financial leadership and SMEs, we aim to amplify the strategic impact of Fractional CFOs and foster their growth as leaders.
Governance & Risk Management

The Governance & Risk Committee is an important group that helps our members from private and public companies, as well as not-for-profit organizations, stay up-to-date on leading developments in governance and risk issues. Financial executives have a leading role in helping their organizations identify and manage risks and, as a member of our committee, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with other senior executives and learn from industry experts. We also aims to build bridges between Boards, Audit Committees and CFOs and provide the financial executive’s perspective to shape public policy and regulation related to governance and risk topics. Information Technology

The Information Technology Committee is forward looking. We evaluate the latest trends and developments in the world of digital innovation, and dissects those technologies that financial executives should be most concerned with. We organize information sessions, either virtual or in person, with subject matter experts to provide insights on how new trends impact business and how financial executives can apply these in their business. Our goal is to help FEI Canada members get ahead of the innovation curve. Our mandate is to provide business intelligence that will help you contribute effectively to your business strategy. Private Companies
Chair, Dr. Howard Johnson
Financial executives who work in private companies and family-owned businesses face a host of unique challenges. They are often viewed as the right-hand person to business owners and have all the answers to complex questions such as financing alternatives, M&A strategy, business succession and other issues. In many cases, these financial executives have no sounding board or other support within their organization. FEI’s Private Companies committee was established to help financial executives in navigating these and other strategic issues through our thought leadership forums, sharing best practices, and providing insights that help in avoiding serious pitfalls, all in a collaborative, low-pressure environment.
